Our show with Pat Hughes, U. S. Senate Candidate in the Republican Primary, is airing tonight in 35 Chicago Metro suburbs; on this Wed., Thur. and Sat. in 10 of those suburbs again; and on this Thur. night throughout Rockford and surrounding areas; next week in Aurora and surrounding areas; and on Monday night, Feb. 1 throughout the City of Chicago, as listed below for all of these airings. We may have some supplemental airings of our show with Pat and we will advise you of those as they occur.

This show gives viewers a good, complete view of Patrick Hughes and the issue contrasts with Hughes’ major opponent, Cong. Mark Kirk, the nine year Republican incumbent from the 10th CD, which includes Chicago’s North Shore, and areas to the north and west of there.

Also running in the Republican Senate Primary are John Arrington, Kathleen Thomas, Don Lowery and Andy Martin. Hughes, Arrington, Thomas, Lowery are all conservatives and Kirk is quite “moderate,” some would say liberal, for a Republican. Andy Martin is, well, Andy Martin, or is that Anthony Martin Trigona. Other than Hughes and Kirk, nobody in the race is thought to have enough resources to run a true statewide race.

Although Cong. Mark Kirk has more than three million dollars in cash on hand and Hughes will probably be trying to compete with, at most, the 700K, or so, he has probably already spent, the Hughes supporters think they can do it, with each activist supporter rounding up 25 votes, or so. That’s why they say the early December, 2008, Chicago Tribune poll that had Kirk winning over Hughes and the others by more than thirty points, and with everyone other than Kirk in low single digits, is wrong.
