A Democratic Culture of Corruption in Illinois?

Boys and Girls, this just in from the Eisendrath campaign-- an Eisendrath presser, as the media are wont to call press conferences:

Democrat Gubernatorial Candidate Edwin Eisendrath will be available today to speak to the growing controversy surrounding revelations that an out-of-state HMO represented by Blagojevich confidant and super-lobbyist John Wyma funneled $100,000 to the Blagojevich campaign just days after the Governor pushed through his All Kids initiative.

WHEN: 12:30 PM TODAY

WHERE: 825 W. Chicago Ave, Chicago, IL (at Chicago and Halsted)

Inquiring minds want to know if the Blagojevich campaign will send over one its representative to monitor the event?

With a camera for Rod's home video collection?

Or, perhaps Blago sometime political spokesman Pete Giangreco, a principal of the Strategy Group and fairly frequent and always welcome guest on "Public Affairs," will show up?

If Pistol Pete is there, will he engage Edwin?

Pete, a Blago surrogate? That would be a nice lunchtime show.

Or, maybe Hod Rod himself will stop on by and engage in a spontaneous discussion of the issues with gubernatorial candidate Edwin Eisendrath.

Six debate invitations from various entities [including Public Affairs] to Rod Blagojevich and Edwin Eisendrath, the challenger in the Democratic Primary. Six acceptances from Edwin Eisendrath. And, six instances of no response from Hot Rod. Is Rod the Steath Candidate? Is Rod afraid of Eisendrath? Will there be outrage from the major media at Governor Blagojevich's attempt to play rope a dope and hide from his challenger?

One thing is for sure. Public Affairs will be at the presser today and we will let you know if any news is made.
