The benefits of being “philosophical,” or “simple.” Or, as Paul Klee said, "less is more."

"It was on Air Force One on election day that strategist Karl Rove started calling around to get the results of early exit polls...Kerry was leading everywhere. ‘I wanted to throw up,’ said an aide onboard. Bush was more philosophical: "Well, it is what it is," he told adviser Karen Hughes.” From Time Magazine's special Election Edition, as reported by www.realclearpolitics.com.

The President can't debate, can't speak very well, doesn't seem to think that well and doesn't look that Presidential, except when he is throwing out the first pitch at a baseball game-- in contrast to John Forbes Kerry who can debate, speaks quite well, seems to think quite well and does look Presidential, except when he is throwing out the first pitch at a baseball game. And yet, with all of his obvious weaknesses, W keeps beating the Ds. It must drive them crazy. Again and Again and Again.
