This week's (Week of May 17) suburban edition of "Public Affairs," [See, the last two paragraphs of this blog entry for our suburban airing schedule] features Cook County Commissioner Forrest Claypool (D) debating and discussing with show host and legal recruiter Jeff Berkowitz (1) Bloat and Patronage Jobs in County Government, (2) County Board President John ["He’s no Harold Washington"] Stroger under siege and (3) Did Clout kill six County Employees in the County Building Fire? A partial transcript of the show with Commissioner Claypool will be added to this blog later this evening.

The show with Commissioner Claypool will also air through-out the City of Chicago this coming Monday night, May 24, at 8:30 pm on Cable Ch. 21. The Claypool show will follow a special airing of our Public Affairs show with State Board of Education Member, Ron Gidwitz, at 8:00 pm on Cable Ch. 21 on this Monday night, May 24. Imagine that, a Berkowitz/Public Affairs double header this coming Monday night, starting at 8:00 pm--almost more pure joy than a human being can stand. But, seriously, folks, the Gidwitz special airing results from some technical problems with the broadcast on last Monday evening, which prevented some viewers from being able to see the first 10 minutes, or so, of the show. This coming Monday, the show with Ron Gidwitz will be broadcast again in its entirety, starting at 8:00 pm. We apologize to our viewers for any inconvenience caused by the technical broadcast problems. The show with Ron Gidwitz is described at the May 11, 13, 15 and 17 blog entries, below.

The suburban edition of "Public Affairs," is broadcast every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8:30 pm on Comcast Cable Channel 19 in Bannockburn, Deerfield, Ft. Sheridan, Glencoe, Highland Park, Highwood, Kenilworth, Lincolnshire, Riverwoods and Winnetka.

The suburban edition also is broadcast every Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. on Comcast Cable Channel 19 in Buffalo Grove, Elk Grove Village, Hoffman Estates, Lincolnwood, Morton Grove, Niles, Northfield, Palatine, Rolling Meadows and Wilmette and every Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. on Comcast Cable Channel 35 in Arlington Heights, Bartlett, Glenview, Golf, Des Plaines, Hanover Park, Mt. Prospect, Northbrook, Park Ridge, Prospect Heights, Schaumburg, Skokie, Streamwood and Wheeling.
